Working Late . . .

on a Thursday night? Well, I'll be out tomorrow to attend to Kaila's school program. It will be their celebration of the Linggo ng Wika. They'll be dancing the itik-itik and there will be a simple get together after the program. Hope to meet again some of the mommies I met in the first few days of their classes.

Happy weekend everyone!

With Kaila - I started to feel the contractions at around 3am. I monitored the contractions before I woke up hubby at around 4am. I don't want any false alarm kasi. ha ha ha . . . Then, we started to prepare ourselves already and called up my parents. They were in the house around 5am. We immediately went to the hospital and I was in the ER for about 30 minutes for the usual routine. I was brought to the DR and gave birth at about 7:15am (i still have to check the actual time).

With JM - it was almost the same with Kaila. I started to feel the contractions at around 3am or 4am. I started to prepare myself and I was able to take a bath first this time. :) I was more confident of the whole process and we left the house around 5:30 am already. SIL was staying with us at that time so she was the one who brought us to the hospital. We just called up my parents so that they can fetch Kaila and stay with them first. When we arrived in the hospital everything happened so fast. I was 5cm already so I was in pain this time. Iba talaga pag boy! I was brought to the DR and I gave birth at about 7:50am (still have to check as well).

I enjoyed doing this tag while reminiscing this very important milestone in one's life. Parang gusto ko tuloy ulit magbuntis! ha ha ha . . .

Tiring but fun . . .

Another long weekend has passed and this one was quite stressful but fun. Saturday was spent at home. I cooked lumpiang shanghai and I was able to do an overdue task which was to do an over all cleaning of our bathroom. I cleaned all the walls from ceiling to floor plus my usual routines in cleaning the room. This is the only household chore that I do by myself since I want to make sure that every corner is clean based on my standard. Naks! In the afternoon, we went around the village as what we usually do on a weekend.

Sunday, we initially planned to go to Glorietta after hearing the mass but something went wrong and we didn't push through with the plan. Since Kaila knew that we were suppose to go out that day she keeps on bugging me if we'll go out. Luckily, it was raining that day so we told her that if the rain stops we'll go to SM Sta. Rosa so she could play in Tom's World. The little girl was monitoring the rain and I finally gave in so we fixed ourselves and headed to SM about 2pm. We went straight to Tom's World since that's our real purpose in going there. One of the kids favorite is the air hockey and we enjoy watching them compete. JM on the other hand loves to drive the car and so Kaila was motivated to drive as well. Of course, we still tried our luck if we could get another stuff that day. We ended up empty handed this time. After the game, we had our snacks in Jollibee. We went around for a while and went home afterwards. When we arrived home, our yaya asked permission if she could go to Dasma, Cavite to see a friend whom she'll be sending some money for her lola. We allowed her to sleep overnight so we were yayaless for the night. Philip's lola didn't go home as well that day so it was only the four of us in the house.

Monday morning, our yaya was back as early as 7am. Hubby asked me if I wanted to pursue our plan of going to Greenhills to buy some stuffs. I asked if the kids will come and he said yes. That time Lola Norma was not yet home so we have no choice but to bring the kids along. It's not that we don't want the kids to come but we are used to already of tagging them along with us without the yaya. We left home past 10am already so we were in Megamall by lunch time. We didn't eat though since we had a heavy breakfast already. We went to the chapel first and heard mass. The kids had their snacks in Jollibee again. We went around for a while then we went to Toy Kingdom where the kids played in the Tikes area then we went to Time Zone again. The kids doesn't get tired playing and playing and playing to think we were just in Tom's World the day before. We left Megamall past 3pm already and headed to Greenhills.

I got myself some blouses and polo shirts. We also bought Kaila a jacket and a pair of pants. We were so dead tired of going around because the kids wanted to be carried already. We didn't have a stroller with us because they usually don't use it anymore. It was the first time yesterday that the two kids asked us to carry them. I guess they were so tired as well. We left Greenhills at past 6pm and we were home by 8pm.

All of us were so tired that I had a hot bath to relax my tired muscles. Kaila and I slept past 11pm while JM and Dada slept ahead of us. It was another bonding time for the four of us. Tiring but fun indeed!

Anything Goes . . .

It's good that it's Friday once again. But this Friday is a busy day for me. I looked at my schedule for the day and I already have a meeting as early as 8am followed by different meetings all throughout the day. Hmmm, i thought Friday is a no meeting day? Anyway, it's going to be another long weekend so I'm looking forward to this. Today is the last day for Kaila's first quarterly exam. I hope she did well on all her tests. We need to treat her out over the weekend as a reward though we haven't seen the results yet.

I already started with the tags yesterday but I haven't finished it yet. Hope to do at least one today.

Happy long weekend to all!

Good Tuesday!

Good day everyone! It's so refreshing coming from a long weekend. I had a nice weekend. It was time well spent with the whole family. Friday was for me and hubby. Hubby and I enjoyed the buffet very much. He keeps on telling me how much he loves the burritos. I'm sure we'll keep coming back for more buffet sessions in Poquito Mas.

Saturday was grocery day with the kids. This time we went to Puregold instead of SM. I was able to buy Guess shirts for the two kids in Pavilion for P300 each. There were a lot of nice shirts but no sizes for the two kids. I'll try to get back there and find more good buys. We also went to Abensons to see some sofas because we need to buy one. We found two designs that we like but we are still undecided which one to get.

Afterwards, we went to SM as well since it's a three day sale so we are hoping we could find some good buys. We didn't stay that long in SM. We just went to Tom's World to play and finally I was able to get JM a Winnie the Pooh stuff toy in the toy machine where you get to pick it up. I don't know how you call it. Two weeks ago I was able to get an Elmo stuff toy for Kaila that's why we keep coming back to get something for JM as well. After the play we had our snacks in Jollibee. We went around for a while in the department store to see some stuffs. Hubby brought the kids in the toy section and got them toys again. Hay, I told hubby afterwards not to buy the kids toys everytime we would go out. Hmmm, he's such a spoiler. :) I think we went home around 6pm already.

Sunday was family day. My parents, my sister and my nephew was at home after lunch and stayed for a while. The three kids enjoyed playing together outside. Good thing it was not raining and it was not that hot either. My mom cooked champorado for merienda. We were all full so most of us didn't eat dinner already.

Monday was study time for us since Kaila will be having their first quarterly exam this week. Kaila had a fever in the morning so I just let her rest and play once in a while. We only started to review in the evening already. JM had his haircut together with Dada. JM is not crying anymore when he's having his hair cut. The two kids didn't sleep in the afternoon that's why by 7pm both of them were asleep already. I myself went up to bed at 8:30pm. First time to sleep this early in a very long, long time. That's why I feel well rested and ready for the week ahead. :)

Change of plans . . .

We won't be going to 168 in Divisoria this weekend but instead we'll be going out tonight here in Paseo de Sta. Rosa. We'll try the Mexican buffet of Poquito Mas. Hubby is in LTO right now to renew his driver's license. We might need it sooner since we don't know exactly when my parents are leaving. Hubby is also bugging me to take the driving lessons already. I wasn't able to avail my company sponsored driving lesson last year. So now I have to pay for it already. Hope we enjoy the food later. Got to go back to some more work since it's going to be a long weekend.

Kaila's fourth birthday . . .

is already coming in less than 2 months. We're just planning to have a simple celebration in school. That's what we told her when she was about to start schooling. Lately, hubby was asking me if we should start buying loots for Kaila's birthday. Huh? Is that you, daddy? I thought it's going to be a simple celebration. According to him, he wants to make sure that Kaila will enjoy the party. Ummm? The daddy is more excited than me. I was thinking if we should still buy stuffs for the kids cause I haven't consulted the school yet if this is allowed. One of her classmates celebrated birthday last Monday but they were just provided with the usual chicken and spaghetti stuff. I better call the school later since we might go to 168 this weekend. Hubby wants to buy Christmas decors already ( this is what you call early Christmas shopping ). He wants to avoid the rush and he's thinking we might not have the time to go when it's needed already. Well, I hope we'll get good buys this weekend.

Friday once again . . .

It feels really good when Friday is here! This time it's better cause it's going to be a long weekend for us. Hubby doesn't have work today. Yesterday was their last day for the classroom training and the next month will be their OJT. He's not yet sure if he's just going back on his same post in Carmona since he's requesting to have his OJT where there will be a check clearing operation. Their cash hub in Carmona doesn't have it. I was trying to take a leave today but due to some important submissions ( again and again ) I'm already here at work. I left home with a heavy heart seeing the kids and their dad asleep. I envy them so much! (: Anyway, it's an extended weekend as I mentioned earlier.

CP refund . . .

I got my latest Citibank credit card statement of account and my Cebu Pacific refund was credited already. It was almost 6 months after when I requested for the cancellation of the booking for my yaya. I almost forgot about it. At least I got the refund without the stress of doing a lot of follow-ups.

Update on Bien . . .

We visited Bien last night in Asian Hospital. Majority of the Finance department was there so the fifth floor lounge area was exclusively for us. We came in batch by batch and we were the last who came in so we were the last one who left as well. We had the time to really talk to Marivic on the series of events.

Bien's condition right now is quite stable. He had his first session of chemotheraphy yesterday that's why he is in "reverse isolation". According to his hematologist, Bien's leukemia is still in the early stage and still curable. They are just waiting for a few more days to ensure Bien's stability and they will be discharged from the hospital already.

All of us our hoping that Bien will respond well on the program so that in three years time, everything will be back to normal again. That was the timeline according to the doctor for his leukemia to be healed.

The family is very much overwhelmed on the support they are getting. A lot were visiting Bien in the hospital and they get text messages from a lot of friends and supporters. We'll continously pray for Bien cause we know that everything is possible through prayers.

So sad . . .

We just got the confirmation tonight that our office mate's son has a leukemia. It just started last week when Bien started to complain of stomach aches. Knowing the kid, who eats Jollibee breakfast everyday, they just thought that is was a simple indigestion or something. My officemate even reported to work that day. I'm not sure what day it started and last Friday Marivic was on leave already because they already brought Bien in Asian Hospital. Since it was a weekend we only got updated yesterday. Bien has a low blood count and have undergone a blood transfusion already. She informed us that Bien will undergo the bone marrow test since the doctors are already considering leukemia as the culprit. We were waiting for the result today and it just came in tonight. We were all shocked! The kid is so healthy and vibrant. He's just three years old. How could it happen? How did he get? We have yet to find out the details. We might visit them tomorrow after office.

So, sad. (: Suddenly, I miss my kids! I'm still here at work and doing my job. As parents, we should not complain how tiring it is to take care of our kids. It's good that they are playful and active instead of taking care of them when they are sick.

Let's include them in our prayers especially the parents because this will be a long battle for them. I hope that Bien will recover soon and live a long life together with his family.

How's my Monday?

Umm? ? ? Monday was ok. Work load was light and manageable. I was able to go home early. I'm still coughing but better than last week. I was able to post one opportunity yesterday after such a long time. I hope I can regain my PR to have more opps again but I don't know how to do it. I've been wanting to have my own domain already but I haven't given that much time. I hope to do it sooner so that I can save for my Christmas shopping already. ha ha ha. . .

Zenni Optical

Growing old doesn't mean we can't by stylish anymore. Just over the weekend we were talking about wearing of eyeglasses. Hubby's grandmother has a cataract and she barely uses her eyeglasses because according to her it would only make her look older. I told her about the incredible stylish new frames from Zenni. She was interested and asked me to show samples of their frames. All the more that she got interested when I told her that Zenni Optical $ 8 Rx Eyeglasses are available as well. She was wondering though if this offer is for real. I told her that Zenni Optical was on FOX news! So now, I'm already looking on their wide selection of stylish frames which I think hubby's grandma would like.

8-8-8 . . .

Today is August 8, 2008. 8-8-8 as they say is lucky. Many are getting hitched today for the belief that it will be lucky for the couple. My mom was a principal sponsor this morning and would you believe that the ceremony was scheduled at 8 am as well? Well, good luck to all of those who tied the knots today. For us who are already married, will it be a lucky day? I hope so.

JM is sick . . .

I have not fully recovered from my cough and this time it's JM's turn. For the past two days, JM's cough was very bad that he would vomit from time to time. The other night, he was already asleep when he started coughing and he vomited the milk he has taken before he slept. It was already late at night and I still have to change our beddings and clean JM as well. Last night, he was still coughing and I hope he fells better today. I hate it when the kids are sick especially JM. We can really feel when JM is sick because he's not hyper active when he feels bad.

No Classes for Kaila . . .

Kaila doesn't have classes today. The teachers will be having their seminar. Lucky for her cause it's going to be a long weekend. Sarap maging estudyante! How I wish we can be students all our life. ha ha ha . . .

Still Coughing . . .

It's been a week and I still have a cough. I'm done with a bottle of Benadryl and no improvement so I asked hubby yesterday to buy me the Lagundi cough syrup. I took my first dose of it last night and surprisingly it was very sweet. I was expecting that it will be bitter but it's not. Since the kids are already sick as well I told our yaya to let the kids try it. We'll see if alternative medicine is really a better choice.

An Award For You . . .

I got this award from Wheng. Thank you so much!

I'm passing this award to all of you who never fails to visit my blog. You're my inspiration for keeping this blog updated. :)

I've been sick lately . . .

I was down with a bad cough and cold since Wednesday. I almost lost my voice already last Wednesday afternoon. I went home early that day so that I can rest because I have an important meeting the following day. I reported to work the following day only to find out that the important meeting I mentioned will be cancelled. Anyway, I made the most out of that day and finished everything that I can because I'm still not feeling well and this time I'm having a terrible headache already. As much I as wanted to report to work last Friday ( since it's day 1 of the month-end close ), I decided to take a break and have a rest. At least, it will be a long weekend for me and the kids. I just stayed home that day since Kaila preferred to go to school with the yaya. I'm sure it could have been a different story if I went with her in school. I'm sure she wouldn't let me go out of the room again. So, JM and I slept together for 3 hours! Yes, three full straight hours of sleep. From 2pm to 5pm. It was good for us since hubby went home very late that night. So, it was me and JM who waited for daddy although JM slept before daddy arrived cause it was 1 am already when he came.
