Unlucky game two for the red lions . . .

September 26, Friday, could have been the third straight championship for the red lions since 2006. But luck was not on their side. They were down by merely two points after four quarters of an exciting game. Here are some of the pictures I have taken :

Ate Kaila with her San Beda poster . . .

The ever loyal daddy with JM . . .

The ever playful JM . . . but he doesn't like basketball

Mommy Nol with the sleepy Ate Kaila . . .

The eager crowd of San Beda . . .

The Red Lions anticipating their championship . . .

First quarter score . . .

Half time score . . .

The little indians before their cheering . . .

The last two free throws by Pong that cut the lead of JRU to 62-60 with 36 seconds in the last quarter . . .

The final score . . .
Anyway, game three was over yesterday and the Red Lions won their third championship. Go San Beda! See you again in the next season of the NCAA.

It's my 5th year in Ford . . . .

Today is my 5th year in Ford. Happy anniversary to me! How time flies to fast. I could still reminisce my first days in Ford. I was still single then but about to get married by December. Nobody knew it until I discreetly informed my supervisor. My colleagues knew it in a funny funny way. I think it was November already when they discovered I was getting married. How? I set up a reminder on my cellphone for my gown fitting. I left my cellphone on my desk and was in another desk. A cellphone was beeping and beeping. Nobody was claiming it was their cellphone including myself. I know my standard message and ringing tone but not the alarm on my calendar. So, a colleague of mine was standing in my desk and read the alarm on my phone. From then on they were already teasing me and all. Hay, just one of the funny moments here at work.

Ford has been my longest employer for the past 10 years. I can say that I'm so happy and satisfied with my stay although I must admit that there were times in between that I would look for better opportunities. Nevertheless, I'm still here celebrating my fifth year already and looking forward for the coming years . . .

My ID picture taken 5 years ago. This was the last time that I have grown my hair long since I was getting married in three months time.

San Beda is in . . .

in the 2008 NCAA championship! Hubby was bugging me to call ticketnet for the tickets in the championship this Wednesday and Friday. As of this time, tickets are not yet out. Hopefully, SBC will win game 1 so that I'll watch game 2 and no more game 3. Go San Beda!

JM is sick . . .

due to bad cough and colds. He started to have fever as well yesterday. I asked hubby not to report to work today since I was already on leave last Monday and I need to submit something urgent today. I hope he gets better because I really hate it when the kids are sick and I cannot take a leave due to my workload. This is the time again when I would wish to be a SAHM. I'm just so thankful that hubby can afford to be on leave these days since he is still floating while the construction of their new office is still on-going. He is transferring to the new Calamba Cash Hub of BDO by next month.

Get well soon, JM!

Happy Monday . . .

everyone! Lets look forward to a wonderful and fruitful week ahead.

My winnings . . .

Here are the fruits of my patience in Tom's World . . .

Meet Elmo. My first winning that made me come back to play over and over . . . This one is for Ate Kaila . . .

I came back to have something for JM and I got Winnie the Pooh . . .

Last Saturday, I got Piglet without exerting that much effort and anticipation. I guess it was just my lucky day . . . This is now Kaila's favorite toy . . .

So, here's all of my winnings! ! !

We're back home . . .

after staying for 6 days and 5 nights in Canlubang due to the interruption of the water supply in our subdivision. Actually, we went home Sunday night since we anticipated that the problem will be fixed already. Monday morning, still with no water supply, I did not report to work. They said that the problem will be fixed in the afternoon. At around 5pm, we got a word that something needs to be bought which costs around P50k so I thought that it would be impossible to fix the problem the same day. I texted hubby and asked for the plan. I suggested that we go back to my parents house while the problem is not fixed permanently. So Monday night we packed our things and went to my parent's house in Canlubang. It was almost 10pm already. The kids were so happy again that they'll be together for a longer period of time.

Kaila was accompanied by lolo to school for three days. At first, I told them not to bring Kaila to school anymore but the lolo insisted that he'll accompany Kaila to school. So it was bonding time for them. Our yaya was left at home to look after the kids. I was worried at first that Kaila might cry since yaya is not with her. But it was no problem at all. Kaila is already a happy school girl. She went home with stars for two consecutive days.

JM on the otherhand I think also enjoyed our stay in Canlubang. He has a playmate when Ate is out for school. They now know how naughty JM is because they all thought that JM is such a "good boy". They have witnessed how JM and Kaila would fight over a toy or over the phone everytime I would call them.

It's nice that they get the chance to be together once in a while especially now that my parents are leaving in less than three months.

Anyway, we were home last night. It still feels good to be back home.

Mom and Dad's 40th Year . . .

Last Saturday, we treated my parents in Max's here in SM Sta. Rosa as a celebration of their 40th wedding anniversary. It was a surprise for them because they just thought that my sister will just buy something in SM. I on the other hand never gave them a call to greet them. It was just a simple celebration but I'm sure my parents are so happy because we were complete at that time. Of course, except for my eldest sister who's in Canada already. This will be our last celebration in a long time since my parents and my youngest sister will be leaving already on December 9. It will be a lonely Christmas for us this time. :)

Anyway, going back to the celebration last Saturday we went to Tom's World afterwards. As usual the kids had fun playing and playing their favorite stuffs. I was so lucky that day cause I won another stuff toy again on my first try alone. It was piglet this time. After an hour of playing, we went around for a while then we went to the grocery while the rest went on their own as well. After an hour, we we're through with our groceries so we went to our meeting place already. We went home in Cabuyao and there was water supply interruption again so we decided to sleep over in Canlubang. Everybody was so happy when they found out that we will sleep in Canlubang. The kids will have their time to play and play. True enough the kids slept so late that night since they enjoy each others company.
Here are some pictures taken during that day:

Kaila's birthday preps . . .

Kaila's birthday is just 3 weeks away and I haven't started with any preparation. We didn't push through na of buying stuffs for the loot bag. I just told hubby that we'll just do it during their Christmas party. We'll be ordering food either with Jollibee or McDo but I'm sure Kaila prefers Jollibee. We'll just buy her birthday cake as well then we'll have a different menu for the celebration in the house. It'll just be family members as usual. I still need to do a simple invite so that I can ask teacher Liza to attach it in their diary so that her classmates won't be bringing in food that day.

TGIF . . .

already. But I'm still here in the office again. Anyway, it's Friday so I'll have time to rest over the weekend. It was a stressful week and I'm sure it's going to be the same next week and the week after. Wala na yatang katapusang stress ito! At least I have hubby and the kids whenever I come home late. Take note that the kids are wide awake even though I go home at 11pm or much later pa. Sila ang stress reliever ko. Hay, kelan kaya ang next vacation namin? With hubby on a new assignment, I don't think it would be soon. Btw, hubby had his revalida today and he got 92.47. Congrats, dad! I know you'll pass it with flying colors. Let's just wait for your promotion and the salary increase. ha ha ha . . .

An update on Bien

For those who have read my post about Bien, I just want you to know that he's alright now. He was discharged from the hospital after almost 2 weeks in the hospital. Currently, he's undergoing chemotheraphy treatment 3 times a week. This will be for a month then he'll have another bone marrow test and see the improvements. Hopefully, treatment will be less and less in frequency as it gets longer. We are all looking forward to his full recovery from leukemia.

It's 40 years already . . .

since my mom and dad got married. They will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this Saturday, September 13. No fancy celebration or whatever since they are very busy preparing for their departure this December (not yet sure). My younger sister and I initially talked about preparing an AVP for them but due to time constraints we'll just do this in time for their despedida or my mom's birthday next month. Bad us since we didn't exert that much effort to prepare. (: Right now, we are just planning to prepare foods for Saturday but we haven't even finalized our menu. I'm thinking if we'll just eat out so that it'll be less hassle for all of us. I'm so busy for the part few days because it's our forecast and budget season. I haven't talked to my sister for the updates.

1st Quarterly Exam Results . . .

Hubby and I got Kaila's test results and report card last Saturday. Both of us are very proud of her because the test results are all high except for reading. Kaila didn't finish answering a 10 item question that's why she got low in reading. This is one of her weakness even when I was reviewing her for the exam. She's sort of lazy or wouldn't follow instructions. But over-all we are very much satisfied with her performance. She even got a perfect score in Math! Mana sa mommy . . . ha ha ha . . .

Perfect score in Math ! ! !

One mistake in Science . . .

1 mistake in Language as well . . .

2 mistakes in Civics and Culture . . .

Needs improvement in Reading . . .

In terms of her report card, it's very good, good and satisfactory rating. No numerical grades since it's a Montessori school. As what teacher Liza mentioned, Kaila is a bright kid. The only problem with her is her social skills. She doesn't really mingle with the other kids. She just stays on her seat though she participates in class during discussions. Actually, this is our main purpose why we enrolled her in school. To develop her social skills. Hubby and I hope that there will be improvements later on.

To Kaila, congratulations and keep it up! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!

Happy Monday . . .

to all of us! Looking forward to a brand new week. Hoping this will be a better and less stressful week as the month-end close is over. But it's budget season and 8+4 forecast for this week. Anyway, I just hope I can finish all my reports in time with less overtimes. :)

What a Friday ! ! !

Yesterday was indeed s stressful day for me but today is worse. It's almost 9pm and I'm still here in the office working to think it's a Friday night. Everybody went home early except me. Poor me . (: I'm so tired and sleepy already! I hope to have a good sleep tonight so that it'll compensate for my lack of sleep for the past few days.

Tomorrow will be Kaila's card giving. I'm so excited to see the results of her first quarterly exam as well as her report card. I hope she passed all her subjects with flying colors (just like mommy) ha ha ha . . .

Happy weekend everyone!

Another stressful day?

When I opened up my email this morning, it seems that I have a lot of tasks to do with so much time. It's still the last day of the month end close plus a lot of other reports needed by the management. Hope to finish all of these on time! Good luck to me . . .

For the first time . . .

we left the kids at home just to watch a movie. Last Friday, we were home by 11am from the school program of Kaila. It was still a long day ahead. We were suppose to go somewhere else but it's quite late already so we just stayed home. The kids were asleep by 1pm because they woke up earlier than their usual routine. So hubby and I took a quick lunch so that we can leave before anyone of the two kids is awakened.

Hubby and I decided just to watch the movie of KC and Richard here in SM Sta. Rosa instead of going to Alabang. We were just in time for the 3pm showing. Over-all hubby and I enjoyed watching the movie. Let's forget all the technicalities and other stuffs. We enjoyed the scenery very much and hope we could go in Santorini in the future. :) I think the setting has a lot to do with the movie. It could have been a plain and simple love-hate relationship movie when it was entirely shoot here in the Philippines. The place is so romantic that you would reminisce "those" times when you were still bf-gf. It's not that I'm saying that we are not romantic anymore but the romance during that stage is different. The "kilig" factor is there. ha ha ha . . .

After the movie, we decided to go again in Poquito Mas and have the Mexican buffet for the second time. This time, we were not that satisfied with the food selection. There were less selection as compared to the first time that we went to try the buffet. Anyway, we filled ourselves to the limit and still get our money's worth. We went around for a while in Paseo and I showed hubby where baby cakes is. This is where KC had her coffee in the first part of the film. We were home by around 9pm I guess.

Linggo ng Wika Celebration

Last Friday, the pre-school department of St. John's Wort Montessori celebrated the Linggo ng Wika with a program. Students from nursery, prep and kinder had their own presentation. Parents were asked to bring food and beverages for a "mini party" after the program. Philip and I were on leave that day. We just brought crema de fruta from Goldilocks since we don't have time to prepare or cook something for that day since the call time is at 9am. We brought JM along and we went to school together with my dad. My mom was not able to come since my nephew has a fever that time.

Upon arrival, Kaila was very clingy again. She was starting to cry when I told her that mommy won't leave. The children stayed in a separate classroom wherein they were provided with activities while waiting for their turn to perform. I was constantly talking to Kaila and ask her to dance well so that Lolo and Dada will be happy. Eventually, she got at ease but I was on her side all the time. When it's time to perform, I was with her all throughout the line and formation. I just stayed in front so that she can see me while she's performing the itik-itik. I told her that mommy will dance as well.

Of course, I was so nervous thinking if Kaila will perform if front of a lot of people. The music started and so Kaila started to dance as well. She knows the steps very well. Kaila was dancing very well! I'm such a proud mommy!

Here are some pictures I have taken during the event.

It was unfortunate they were not asked to wear a Filipiniana costume . . . I would love to see her in a terno . . .

Philip and I are so proud of Kaila and JM. We know that both will go a long way. We are already looking forward to the next big event in school. The halloween party. The hunting for the best costume begins . . .
