My little girl . . . soon to be a flower girl

I'm back after the long holidays. It was just a quiet vacation for us. We just stayed at home though we went to Cavite on Good Friday and went out to the mall on Saturday.

Yesterday was a lazy day in the office. It's so difficult to get back into the mood after a long vacation. I almost forgot to blog that Kaila will soon be a flower girl to a friend's wedding. I've been helping her out with her wedding suppliers and it was only about two weeks ago when she informed me that Kaila will be one of her flower girls. Of course the stage mom that I am, I really got so excited since it will be her first time. As a matter of fact, we already bought her shoes and stockings last Saturday when we went to Festival mall in Alabang. It was only last night that we went to the dressmaker for her measurements. I can't wait to see her in her gown! I'm also thinking what I would do to her very long hair? Hubby was telling me the other night to use the hair jewelries I used during our wedding but that might be inappropriate for her age to use it. Baka matalbugan pa nya ang bride. he he he . . .

Work Overload ! ! !

It's almost a week since my last post. I'm so busy with work. We're done with the month-end close and now it's our forecast submission. There are other special studies as well needed by the region. I have so many things to catch up with my blogging. A lot of tasks has also expired! ! ! Hay, I'm so sleepy cause I rendered OT last night. I want another vacation! ! !

Double good news ! ! !

We had our monthly all employee meeting this morning. Most of the time I wouldn't attend this meeting because I have more important things to do. But this morning, most of the people from Finance attended because we know that the variable bonus will be announced already.

We were already expecting something but of course we need the formal announcement. After discussing all the metrics our variable bonus to date is 2.26 months. This may still change cause there are still pending items that are awaiting for the result. The 2.26 months may go up or go down depending on the final ranking based on the annual performance review.

The other good news is that the variable bonus will be given earlier since usually it is given every 25th of March. But since it will be Holy Week prior to that the HR department decided to give it earlier since most of the employees will be out already for vacation.

Yipee! ! ! Mucho, mucho na naman . . .

Looking forward to the long holidays . . .

Yipee! It's the last day of work for 2007. We ended up eating our lunch at 1:30pm. What a way to end the year! We're supposed to have a short meeting with our Finance Director at around 11:30am but the meeting went on and on and on . . .

Anyway, it's the last day of work so right after the meeting we had our lunch ( a take out from yellow cab ). My other officemates went ahead of us in yellow cab but we ended up eating our lunch here in the office. We just went out to have our coffee in Starbucks after since most of them are completing their stickers for the 2008 planner.

I still have a few more issues to settle but I can't focus on work anymore! Let's reserve all of these for January 2008 . . .

Ford Finance-IT Christmas Party 2007

The Finance-IT Christmas Party of Ford Philippines was held last Wednesday, December 12 in our Director's residence in Ayala Alabang Village. The department was divided into three teams ( red, yellow & green ) and each will have a presentation. Everybody came in prepared with their own gimiks. Our food was catered by Queensland though our hostess prepared some Indian cuisine as well.

It was indeed a night of fun, laughter, food and entertainment . . . I can say that in my five Christmas parties in Ford this is the best so far . . . Here are some pictures :

A hectic week had passed . . .

It has been a week since my last post. I was very busy with work that I can't afford to update my blog. I miss blogging! Hopefully the next few days will be lighter. Tomorrow is our Finance Christmas party already. At least a break from all the work loads for the past few weeks. I've been staying late in the office for the last two weeks. I feel that I'm missing a lot with my kids. They are asleep already every time I arrive home from work. I'm really looking forward to the long Christmas vacation . . .

I hate OT's ! ! !

Oh, well . . . It's almost 10pm and I'm still here at the office. I hate it when I have to stay late in the office and do a lot of tasks.

I miss my kids ! ! ! By the time I get home most probably JM is asleep already. Kai most of the time is still awake. She would really wait for me to be home. But I don't want her to stay up that late. Mabilis makapayat ang puyat. . .

Anyway, I'll be leaving in a little while. Technically, tomorrow is a no work day since our Department is having a team building session. But I still have to do and submit some more reports.

Thank God it's Friday and we're heading for a long weekend. Yipee!
