2 months since my last post. Blame it on our internet provider for I have lost the momentum of updating this blog during the holidays. Two months is such a long time and so many things have already transpired . . . I'll try to update this blog as much as I can specially now that it seems so near and yet so far . . . ha ha ha . . .

What's up with me?
So many things have happened for the past 3 months already . . . Mostly bad since there were quite a number of deaths in our family, friends and colleagues at work. But of course there are milestones already with our immigration application to Canada. I'll try to post more details on my next post. Kaila's already bugging me since she''ll be playing in our PC.

Random updates . . .
I haven't really blogged for the past months. I was so preoccupied with a lot of things. I'm still learning and adjusting with my new work. I still have to figure out how to do things more efficiently since my workload is actually for two positions. At home, I barely have time to blog since hubby is addicted to facebook and the kids are into PC games as well. I really have to find time to sneak out in between. he he he . . .
So, what are we up to lately? Well, we're still completing our documents for the submission of our complete application package to the embassy in Manila. We've been to San Beda already to get hubby's school records, been to BPI to get our employment certificates, been drafting letters and affidavits to support our documents.
School break is almost over for the two kids. JM will be going to school as well starting this Wednesday that's why hubby and I are so excited to see him in school. I wonder what he would be like as a student? Hopefully, we won't be called in the principal's office because of JM's naughtiness.
We had no major vacation this summer except for the two roadtrips that we had in Liliw. Weekends were mostly spent in malls for groceries and play time for the kids. I've also had several Friday night outs with my officemates wherein I've been struggling to improve my score in bowling. :) This weekend, we are heading off to Nasugbu for an overnight in Canyon Cove. At least habol pa rin sa summer. Summer pa nga ba? :)
Whew! It feels good to write again. Hopefully, this will be the start of my continous updates in this blog. For a more real time updates, just look for me in facebook. he he he . . .

The lazy me . . .
can't seem to find the urge to blog. It's not that I have nothing to blog but actually there's a lot of updates and even pictures to upload. It's just I'm not in the mood to blog. Should I blame it on facebook? he he he . . . I guess I'm just busy with a lot of things and I expect to become busier this month. The days are getting nearer . . . 120 days will be over soon. :)

Our PC & Internet is back . . .
Finally ! ! ! After almost two months of being PC and internet free home I am now posting my very first entry as we had our internet back just tonight. I was also not in the mood to blog the past few days so hopefully with our internet back I'll be posting more often now. Time to go to FB for now. :)

A quiet and simple day . . .
It has been a while when I just spent the whole day at home without worrying anything. For the past few weeks hubby and I have not spent a single weekend at home. As I have previously blogged, my FIL is battling the big "C" that's why we spend every free day at their home in Pacita. We also try to visit our house in Canlubang since my nephew is there already. Our weekends are spent shuttling from one house to another with groceries in between and other errands. We also try to balance our time with the kids as well.
Today, I just spent the whole day at home and I had the time to have enough sleep. Late in the afternoon, the kids just played outside with their bikes and balls. After a while, they started to water the plants and in no time the kids were already having their evening bath outside the house. I allowed them to play in the water for a while and they enjoyed it so much that they don't want to stop. These are just rare moments for the kids that's why I try to be lenient once in a while.
This is a perfect day well spent except for one. Hubby is still in the office and he missed all our adventures for the day. I'm hoping for more quiet and simple days like this . . . . :)

Early to bed ? ? ?
We were home by 8pm today which was quite early from our usual time. Both kids were still awake when we arrived. We spent about 10 or 15 minutes with the kids before they went upstairs in our bedroom. Hubby and I ate our dinner afterwards. We went to the living room after our dinner. We could still hear the kids playing upstairs. After a while, I couldn't hear anything from the bedroom. I was thinking if the kids were asleep already. But I told myself it's impossible. You see, our kids would usually sleep from 11pm to as late as 1am. Yes, you read it right. My kids would sleep this late on a weekday. So, imagine me sleeping at 1am then I have to wake up at 5:30am to catch up with our shuttle service. Or else hubby would be driving me to the office ( sayang sa gas! ).
Then, I took my evening bath and I was so surprised to see both kids asleep when I went upstairs. According to our yaya, Kaila was the first one to sleep followed by JM. Are the kids sick? What happened? How I wish our nights would be like this. Sleeping time would be effortless for everybody. But somehow I miss the "kulitan"of the two kids before going to sleep. It's a sort of bonding time for us as well. Anyway, might as well take advantage of this very rare moment. So, right now I'm here in front of our PC surfing the net while doing some blogging. ha ha ha . . . The daddy will be back in a few minutes and I tell you he's addicted to facebook already. he he he . . . I was the one who opened up his facebook account but now he has more friends than I.
Hay, it feels good to blog at home. No need for rush and no more checking if somebody might see me doing some blog at work. he he he . . .

Quarter one . . .
is about to end in about three weeks. How time flies really fast! Summer is almost here because we can feel the heat already especially on weekends. I said almost because there are still days that the breeze is cool during night time and we are still having some rainy mornings once in a while. Over the weekend, the kids were already bugging us to buy them those inflatable swimming pools. Kaila is already excited to eat halo-halo again. It's funny because she knows that halo-halo is for summertime. She would even recite a famous halo-halo commercial line over and over - "halo-halo tamis, tamis . . . " They are also asking the daddy to bring them to the beach so that they can make sand castles.
I can still recall the same excitement whenever the month of March begins. It signifies a lot of things for me when I was young. More playtime and family outings in the beach. As a student, it means the end of the school year and another recognition day - time to reap the fruits of my hardwork. In less than a month it'll be my birthday. Summertime is just a time to relax and be yourself. You can do anything you want at anytime you want. As a teenager, it was time to sleep, sleep and sleep until my eyes would sore. ha ha ha . . .
But as we grow older, our experiences, expectations and responsibilites becomes wider. Now, the month of March signifies a lot of other things. (1) We need to renew the registration of the car. (2) We need to renew the insurance policy of the car (3) I need to prepare Kaila for her final exams (4) We all need to prepare for her recognition day (5) I need to plan for the kids' activities for summer (6) We need to be ready for the next enrollment ( 7) We need to enjoy a little bit of what I'll be getting for the performance bonus (8) I need to finish all our forms for our FSW application in Canada and the list can go on and on and on.
What am I talking about? Does it make sense? Well, with so many things happening around us have we given ourselves the time to think and appreciate the essentials in life? Have we served our purpose already? How much time do we have left? With the recent death of Francis Magalona, I realized that time flies really fast. As in reeeeaaaaaaallllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyy fast! We get ourselves busy with so much work and sort of depriving the kids of our time. Most of the time we are not physically present whenever our kids had their "firsts". How I wish I was there all the time. But when I'm with kids and they get uncontrollable I lose my temper and how I wish I was just at work.
Make up your mind! ! ! Be careful with what you wish for. Life is just short so we have to make the most out of it instead of preoccupying our minds with so many unimportant things. Live the life that God has given each one of us. Circumstances may be difficult and hard but it's the way we arise from all those trials that matters. Keep our life as simple as possible. Live each day as it comes. Do what can make you and your family happy. At the end of the day, what is important is you have served your purpose well and you can sleep peacefully without worrying the days ahead.

Lotto update . . .
Nobody won the lotto draw last Thursay night. Only 2 of our numbers from system 11 was included and 1 from system 9. So, early yesterday morning it was again our discussion during breakfast. Initially, we said that we'll just pursue our system 9 betting which includes the Finance department only. Unexpectedly, our lotto members from the other departments were also inquiring if we'll continue to bet for our numbers. So, everybody agreed that we'll just use the same numbers and we'll see what will happen on the draw this coming Sunday. We're keeping our finger crossed . . .

as all of us who placed our bets for the 6/49 lotto awaits for the draw tonight. Are we going to be the next millionaire? I hope so . . .
Here are the lucky numbers that we've chosen :

System 11: 25 - 44 - 29 - 23 - 7 - 1 - 42 - 16 - 12 - 8 - 18

Lotto Fever . . .
The 6/49 super lotto draw last night was awaited by a lot of people especially those who have placed their bets on their lucky numbers. The jackpot has gone up to P239M and unfortunately for them there was no winner. Lucky for those who have yet to place their bets since they have another chance for the next draw ( including me :) ).
This was our topic during our breakfast this morning so we decided to join the lotto fever. We agreed that we'll bet using the system 9 wherein we'll choose 9 numbers and we'll have the chance for all the possible combination using those 9 numbers. Our lead for the project emailed almost everybody within our department and everybody was excited to join. Each one gave their lucky numbers and ended up with about 11 numbers. So, we ended up generating the 9 numbers using their own system. When our lead emailed our 9 numbers, they were asking how we've come up with the numbers and what happened to their lucky numbers. We told them that we just used the system generated numbers so as not have difficulty on choosing among the numbers given by the participants. Funny thing is none of the lucky numbers given by the participants was generated. he he he . . .
Then, somebody from the group dared to bet using the system 11 since we have the numbers already. This would cost us another P440 if the same number of people will bet. We've made our computations and agreed to proceed with the bet with just about P200 per head so we need a total of 50 persons for this round. But this also means that our winnings will be down to about P4.7M each. ha ha ha . . . Of course, since we are in Finance everybody was fast in computing for their winnings.
The lotto fever spread all throughout the organization and other departments (HR, IT, Purchasing and MPL ) joined as well. Even our former officemates were able to join. Thanks to the advanced technology nowadays. The 50 slots were complete at around 4pm I guess. Some joined with high hopes that they'll win. Some joined not even knowing how it works. Some joined for the heck of just joining. Some joined with a lot of plans already for their winnings, if ever. We are all happy and excited!
What if we win? What will happen to Ford Philippines if everybody will resign from their posts? Everybody will be happy but not the Ford management. ha ha ha . . . On the other hand, we can lend our winnings to Ford and be a stakeholder since we are actually on the process of securing a loan from a local bank. he he he . . .
Good luck to all of us! ! !

Tempting offer . . .
from Cebu Pacific is now back! The zero seat sale for their international destination is on-going until the 22nd of January. It was the same time last year when I booked our HK trip. I was tempted to book a Singapore trip for next month. Actually, I was chatting my friend from Singapore of how much our "would be expense"already. I even browsed some sites to check out the possible attractions that we can visit. That's how I learned that Universal Studios will be opening already by 2010. I confirmed this with my friend and she said that it'll be open by early next year. So, I decided to defer this Singapore trip in time for the opening of Universal Studios. Who knows we might have a trip by last quarter of this year. It's just a matter of prioritization. I still have to prioritize "something"for Q1. This will be another topic in my future posts.

TGIF . . .
already. But I'm still here in the office again. Anyway, it's Friday so I'll have time to rest over the weekend. It was a stressful week and I'm sure it's going to be the same next week and the week after. Wala na yatang katapusang stress ito! At least I have hubby and the kids whenever I come home late. Take note that the kids are wide awake even though I go home at 11pm or much later pa. Sila ang stress reliever ko. Hay, kelan kaya ang next vacation namin? With hubby on a new assignment, I don't think it would be soon. Btw, hubby had his revalida today and he got 92.47. Congrats, dad! I know you'll pass it with flying colors. Let's just wait for your promotion and the salary increase. ha ha ha . . .

Happy Monday . . .
to all of us! Looking forward to a brand new week. Hoping this will be a better and less stressful week as the month-end close is over. But it's budget season and 8+4 forecast for this week. Anyway, I just hope I can finish all my reports in time with less overtimes. :)

-BER months has begun . . .
It's the 1st day of September! Can you feel the Christmas spirits already? ha ha ha . . . Hubby and I are both excited for Christmas. As early as now, we are asking the kids what they want from Santa. Kaila wants another kitchen play set and JM wants a car or helicopter. Well, it's up to Santa to decide.
Happy Monday to all!

Working Late . . .
on a Thursday night? Well, I'll be out tomorrow to attend to Kaila's school program. It will be their celebration of the Linggo ng Wika. They'll be dancing the itik-itik and there will be a simple get together after the program. Hope to meet again some of the mommies I met in the first few days of their classes.
Happy weekend everyone!

Tiring but fun . . .
Another long weekend has passed and this one was quite stressful but fun. Saturday was spent at home. I cooked lumpiang shanghai and I was able to do an overdue task which was to do an over all cleaning of our bathroom. I cleaned all the walls from ceiling to floor plus my usual routines in cleaning the room. This is the only household chore that I do by myself since I want to make sure that every corner is clean based on my standard. Naks! In the afternoon, we went around the village as what we usually do on a weekend.
Sunday, we initially planned to go to Glorietta after hearing the mass but something went wrong and we didn't push through with the plan. Since Kaila knew that we were suppose to go out that day she keeps on bugging me if we'll go out. Luckily, it was raining that day so we told her that if the rain stops we'll go to SM Sta. Rosa so she could play in Tom's World. The little girl was monitoring the rain and I finally gave in so we fixed ourselves and headed to SM about 2pm. We went straight to Tom's World since that's our real purpose in going there. One of the kids favorite is the air hockey and we enjoy watching them compete. JM on the other hand loves to drive the car and so Kaila was motivated to drive as well. Of course, we still tried our luck if we could get another stuff that day. We ended up empty handed this time. After the game, we had our snacks in Jollibee. We went around for a while and went home afterwards. When we arrived home, our yaya asked permission if she could go to Dasma, Cavite to see a friend whom she'll be sending some money for her lola. We allowed her to sleep overnight so we were yayaless for the night. Philip's lola didn't go home as well that day so it was only the four of us in the house.
Monday morning, our yaya was back as early as 7am. Hubby asked me if I wanted to pursue our plan of going to Greenhills to buy some stuffs. I asked if the kids will come and he said yes. That time Lola Norma was not yet home so we have no choice but to bring the kids along. It's not that we don't want the kids to come but we are used to already of tagging them along with us without the yaya. We left home past 10am already so we were in Megamall by lunch time. We didn't eat though since we had a heavy breakfast already. We went to the chapel first and heard mass. The kids had their snacks in Jollibee again. We went around for a while then we went to Toy Kingdom where the kids played in the Tikes area then we went to Time Zone again. The kids doesn't get tired playing and playing and playing to think we were just in Tom's World the day before. We left Megamall past 3pm already and headed to Greenhills.
I got myself some blouses and polo shirts. We also bought Kaila a jacket and a pair of pants. We were so dead tired of going around because the kids wanted to be carried already. We didn't have a stroller with us because they usually don't use it anymore. It was the first time yesterday that the two kids asked us to carry them. I guess they were so tired as well. We left Greenhills at past 6pm and we were home by 8pm.
All of us were so tired that I had a hot bath to relax my tired muscles. Kaila and I slept past 11pm while JM and Dada slept ahead of us. It was another bonding time for the four of us. Tiring but fun indeed!
