to go before Christmas and I haven't started any preparation. The kids were bugging me to have our Christmas decors put up for the past two weekends and up to now no decors were set up yet. Hopefully, all decors will be set this weekend. I also want to have my gift lists to family members, friends, officemates, relatives and friends of the two kids. I'm not yet sure if we'll go to Divi this weekend to buy some stuffs already. If not, hopefully in the next two weekends so that we won't resort to last minute Christmas shopping. Hubby and I are also looking forward to the St. James Bazaar which we have been regularly visiting for the past 3 or 4 years already. Hope we could find cool items there. Now, I'm beginning to feel Christmassy already. . . (is there such a word?) he he he . . . Hope to post more Christmas updates in the next few days . . .

Our baby is now a lady . . .
Our little princess is now five years old! She's growing to be a fine young lady and we are so proud of her achievement not just in school but as a big sister to her younger brother as well. I wish Mikaila all the best and happiness in life. Mommy and Daddy will always be here for you. We love you very much!

Ian & Glynis' Wedding . . .
Last Monday, April 27, 2009, hubby and I attended the wedding of his cousin ( Ian ) and a former officemate ( Glynis ) of mine. Knowing them both was just a coincidence. The wedding was held in Bellevue in Alabang. It was a Christian wedding so the ceremony was held there too. I find the wedding great since it was really a union of two families and a reunion of families as well. As I previously posted, our digicam was defective that's why the pictures I posted are just from the camera of hubby's sister and cousins. Too bad since I could have taken a lot of pictures if I have my own camera that time.
Here are some of our pictures:

Kiddo's shots . . .
We just had a dinner in Gerry's Grill in SM Sta. Rosa on the night of my birthday since both hubby and I reported to work that day. We don't have that much pictures since the kids were playing the digicam during our dinner. Only to find out eventually that the lens was defective already. (:

It's my birthday! ! !
How time flies really fast! I'm turning a year older again today. Though I'm celebrating it differently ( since I'm in the office ), I can say that I'm so happy with all the blessings I have received for the past year. I'm so thankful that I have my family with me and they are my source of strength and happiness as I journey through life. I'm looking forward for the next years to come and I pray for good health for all my family members and our loved ones. Happy birthday to me! he he he . . . :)

90th birthday . . .
Today is Lola Orat's 90th birthday! She is my maternal grandmother. Too bad we can't be with her today as she celebrates her birthday. She is currently staying in Olangapo and hopefully we can visit her one of these days.
Lola Orat, happy happy birthday!

My Valentine Treats . . .
Hubby never fails to give me white roses on Valentine's day. It is usually delivered to our office that's why my officemates were expecting it last Friday. When they reminded it to me, a part of me was somehow expecting it too. But come 4pm and there were no flowers. hu hu hu . . .
Hubby and I will be meeting in Paseo to have our dinner there. I came in first and bought him a Havainas flip flops as my Valentine gift. I spent the rest of my time in National bookstore where I left my gift in the package counter. He texted me that there was a heavy traffic. It was almost 7pm when he came. He was pulling me towards the exit at the back but my gift was in package counter in front. I asked him to go the other way and as we are nearing the exit I handed to him the number tag for him to get the package himself. I immediately went out and looked at him while he was going out. He was so happy and surprised for my gift. It is seldom that I surprise him with a gift. he he he . . . It is usually him that surprises me with gifts . . .
We went out afterwards and we're on the lookout for a venue for our dinner date. We passed by Poquito Mas and we are not satisfied with the buffet selection so we looked for other restos in the area. We ended up in Fastuarant which specializes in Italian cuisine. They also have their buffet which consists of pastas, chicken in different sauces, fish fillets, mussels, pizza and a lot more. Their buffet is only P299 which is inclusive of one round of ice tea, soup and a dessert. Another good find for us! We enjoyed our dinner and I almost forgot about the flowers already. :)
Hubby asked me if I wanted to have coffee in Starbucks. I declined since I'm so full already. We just went around for a stroll and watched the live concert in the activity area in Paseo. We were about to call it a night at 10pm. While on our way home already, hubby asked me if I wanted to go to Tagaytay. Of course I said yes.
It was hubby's first time to drive all the way up to Tagaytay by himself. Unfortunately, I didn't bring our camera so we have no proof that we actually went to Tagaytay. We just went to Starbucks and hang out for a while. We didn't have our jackets that's why both of us were freezing in the cold winds of Tagaytay. We ended up our night at exactly 12 midnight.
When we arrived home, hubby took a while before he was able to get inside the house. When he came in he was with the bouquet of flowers already! This time he personally handed to me the flowers plus chocolates this time. My Valentine's day is finally complete. :)

JM's Birthday Celebration . . .
We had a simple birthday celebration of JM last February 03. We had our lunch in Shakey's Paseo so that the kids can play in Fun Zone. We also invited Gia since they are just staying in Santa Rosa Estates. The kids had fun playing in fun zone while mommy and Gia's mom had the chance to have a long chit chat. We left Shakey's at around 3pm already.
After Paseo, we went to Biñan to order the special pancit bihon then went to SM to pick-up JM's birthday cake and got some ice cream as well. On the way home, we also bought some roasted chicken since it'll be dinner time by the time we got home. Tito Orly and Tita Gina came with another chocolate ice cream cake. As usual, the two kids were excited for the candle blowing and ice cream time. Here are some pictures I have taken during that day :

New Year '09 Celebration . . .
We celebrated New Year's Eve in our Canlubang home together with my other siblings. As usual, hubby reported to work so I did all the food preparation ( a major change from prior events :) ). We arrived in Canlubang at past 6pm already. Hubby and I started with the other food preparation like the chicken and the crema de fruta. My sister and his husband on the other hand was cooking the molo soup. Everything was ready by 9pm. We just watched the TV while the kids were playing around. We went outside by 11pm and started lighting our sparklers and fountains. We watched outside as the sky lit up with plenty of fireworks before 12 midnight. We were simultaneously watching the countdown in the tv as well. After all the fireworks, we enjoyed our foods until 2am. We almost slept at around 3am.
On New Year day itself, all of us went to Cavite. Again, we feasted on a lot of foods. As in a lot! I did not even tasted all of them because I was so full already. Unfortunately, I was not able to take pictures of the foods. We stayed there until 5pm and went to Pacita afterwards. We stayed there until 8pm and headed to Canlubang after. We just got our stuffs and headed home in Cabuyao. We were so tired by the time we got home.
Here are some pictures from our celebration:
