On a holiday rush . . .

It's barely six days to go before Christmas and I'm not yet done with my Christmas shopping. As expected, there will still be last minute shopping though we started to buy gifts already as early as October. For the past 2 or 3 days, I've been sleeping so late because of gift wrapping. For Kaila's classmate alone it was about 19 sets of colored pencils and coloring books. It will be their Christmas party this afternoon.

Hmmm, who's still in my list? We haven't bought Lola Norma her gift yet. I still don't know what to give her. With limited time already I might opt to do an online shopping for her. I surfed the net for the popular online eyeglasses shop and I find the holiday glass frames from Zenni Optical interesting. Aside from it's wide array of holiday glass frames it's very affordable including the $8 complete Rx eyeglasses.

I need to ask hubby since he knows better what we should give Lola Norma. She deserves only the best for helping us take care of the kids when we're out to work.

St. James Bazaar '08 . . .

Last Sunday, hubby and I went to the St. James Bazaar in Ayala Alabang. It has been a tradition for three or four years already. We bought quite a lot this year as compared to last year. I didn't take pictures of our purchases since most of them are Christmas gifts to family members. Hubby and I were happy with the wide selection of items and of course it's good price. The St. James bazaar is indeed worth waiting for your Christmas purchases or even for your personal stuffs especially for home.

Christmas Shopping Update . . .

We already have our first batch of gifts for the kids this Christmas. After our dinner in Crustacia last Friday we went malling in ATC. We went at the toy section of Rustan's to see if there will be good buys for the kids. True enough we were able to buy Kaila's kitchen play set and a remote controlled car for JM. These toys are on top of their Christmas wishlist for this year. I'm also done buying gifts for Kaila's classmates and my officemates' kids. Early Christmas shopping? Well, I hope we'll finish early cause we might have started early but we might end up doing some last minute Christmas shopping.

First Christmas Shopping in '08 . . .

Two weekends ago, we had our first Christmas shopping already. Hubby and I went to Divisoria together with my mom since we were in Canlubang that weekend. We just bought some ornaments and the angel top for our Christmas tree. We also bought some stuffs for Kaila's birthday celebration. My mom on the otherhand, bought a lot of bags and other stuffs she'll be bringing in Canada as pasalubong to friends. It was just a quick shopping experience especially with my mom in tow. We were back home a little after 1pm. We are planning to go back there any day from now. Hopefully on a weekday so that it wouldn't be as crowded as it is on a weekend.

On line Shop

One of my high school friends texted me the other day to visit her multiply site. Her multiply site is a sort of an online shop with all the stuffs she's selling. Her products ranges from ready to wear clothes, designer shirts, bags, home made soaps and perfumes and even accessories. Her products are very promising but I think she should invest more so that her site would be more appealing to would be online shoppers.

Shopping Update . . .

Last Saturday, hubby and I went to Greenhills for our last batch of Christmas shopping ( so, I thought ). We arrived there just in time for the afternoon mass so we were very hungry already after the mass. We ate in RACKS ( yummy, yummy, yummy ! ! ! ) my favorite baby back ribs. We headed in the tiangge right after we had our lunch. We bought the gift for my nephew and some of Philip's inaanaks. Then we bought clothes for the kids and a new jeans and blouse for me.

After Greenhills, we went to Glorietta. We went to Toy Kingdom to look for "Santa's gift" for JM. We can't think of any other toy but a remote controlled car. For Kaila, it's a Disney Princess rubber shoes. That's what she's asking Santa. After the quick shopping in Glorietta, we went home already. It was another tiring day but I enjoyed it.

A weekend in St. James Bazaar . . .

Last Nov. 30, hubby took it a day off from work since it's a special day for us as well. We decided to go to Alabang with the kids and of course my mom & dad and my other nephew. So we have 3 toddlers in tow that day. We had our groceries first in Makati Supermarket and had our lunch in the ATC foodcourt ( Reyes BBQ ).

After lunch, we went strolling around ATC for a while. Hubby bought me a Havaianas flip flops. I was jokingly asking him if it was his Christmas gift already. :) Of course it's not! The kids were playing around in the lounge area. They were all running, screaming and jumping around. It was around 2pm when we decided to proceed to the St. James Bazaar in Ayala Alabang Village.

It was nearly 3pm when we got to the place already. It was quite a traffic from ATC going to AAV. Plus parking was difficult as well. It was a long walk from our parking place to the bazaar proper. The kids were asleep when we arrived so it was me, hubby and my youngest sister who first went around. I just told our yaya to call us once the kids are awake.

I've seen quite a number of good buys but I didn't buy first. I want to canvass more and get the best deal. The only thing I bought right away is the Baby Couture Bag. Since we are still using the baby bag of Kaila I think it was just time to buy a new one. We were going around when we were informed that the kids are awake already. We told them to go and we'll meet halfway.

We brought the kids to the playground and they enjoyed playing especially in the slide. I asked my mom if she wants to go around but she don't want. After their playtime, my mom and my nephew just went back to the car since my mom doesn't want to go around with my nephew in tow. We went around with the two kids. We were looking clothes for them but we didn't find good buys unlike last year. The clothes for the kids are much more expensive than those in Greenhills. After a while, we just decided to have our snack since it's difficult to go around with the kids. Kawawa naman yung may karga since hindi nila binaba yung stroller nung mga kids.

Hubby bought us some Yellow Cab pizza and we were so full after. After eating, we decided to call the day off since we are all tired already. We just bought mom & dad some merienda and we went back to the car already. My nephew was already having tantrums and I didn't see the text from my mom asking us to come back already.

Whew! It's really tiring to go out with both the kids in tow. It is indeed a challenge! This is the reason why we are delaying our supposed to be HK trip in January. Hubby wants JM to grow up some more and have the maturity of Kaila at that age.

Anyway, this is it for now . . .

Christmas Shopping Update . . .

Oh, well. . . We pushed through with the original plan of going shopping even without 1 yaya. I just asked my youngest sister to come over our house to be with the kids.

It was a breeze . . . Not sure if it's still because of the Glorietta blast or the barangay election because there were a few people in everywhere we've been to. Yes, we've been to Divisoria, Greenhills and Glorietta. Galing namin no!

We were able to buy Christmas decors, stuffs for the house, gift wrappers, gifts for the kids of my officemates, gifts to my inaanaks, some gifts for the kids and other stuffs. I can say that I'm halfway through my Christmas shopping as early as now. Family members na lang yung bibilihan ko the next time na umalis ulit kami.
