Another lazy Monday . . .

It's another lazy Monday! It was not a long weekend though but still I'm not in the mood for work. It's going to be a busy week for sure since it's our month-end close once again and forecast submission next week. Next week will be hectic as well since Monday is a holiday and Friday is our Finance outing. So, it's going to be 3 day workweek next week. Need to squeeze in the workload on those three days.

Hay, what's up with me over the weekend? Well, Kaila has not fully recovered yet from her tonsilitis and she has cough and cold now. JM also had a high fever over the weekend and he has cough and cold as well. Maybe it's due to the super hot weather. Hubby and I were thinking of buying another aircon since the aircon in our bedroom might be overused if the kids will use it during the day. Well, lets just see if the kids will be able to cope up with the weather.

Last Saturday, we were in my parents house in Canlubang to celebrate the birthday of my lola and my BIL. We were there just in time for lunch. It was only my Uncle and his wife from Pasig who were there. My other Uncle from Las PiƱas only arrived way past 1pm already. A cousin of my mom from Cavite also arrived. There were other kids in the house so Kai, JM and Wacks enjoyed the day since they have new playmates for the day.

Lola was so happy to see many of his relatives. Everybody would be laughing everytime Lola would give her comments on something. It was a game if she would recognize who is she talking to. For some she still recognize them but for a few she didn't recognize already. Of course the highlight of the day was the candle blowing. They were teasing her to make her wish for long life. My other uncle jokingly told her that's she's overstaying already so no need to wish for long life. Well, 89 years old is such a long journey already. And we are anticipating that she still has a long way to go since she's healthy for her age except for her hearing. More birthdays to come Lola!

I forgot to bring the camera today so I'll be posting the pictures on the next few days.

Travel plans

Since we got back from our Hong Kong trip, hubby would always open the discussion of our plans of going back to Hong Kong. He really enjoyed the trip that he can't wait for our next trip. We're planning of going back there same time of the year next year or maybe December next year so that it'll be a different season but will still be cool as our recent trip. The weather was a major factor why hubby would really like to go back in HK.

Yesterday, both hubby and I were on leave since we had to bring Kaila to the doctor. In the afternoon, while having our afternoon nap I took out our maps, guides, programs and other stuffs from Hong Kong. Believe it or not, we're already discussing our itinerary for the next trip. We were laughing out sometimes because there were some areas which we think we could have just walked but we're riding the MTR all the time.

Hopefully we can find a cheap flight like the P888 promo of Cebu Pacific but the Piso fare promo is much better. That would give us a lot of savings that can be used for shopping instead. For hotel bookings and other possible packages, I came across the site lowfares.com. With this site, every travel needs can be booked online that makes travel planning very easy and efficient.

Kaila is sick . . .

I was on leave yesterday because I had to bring Kaila to the doctor. She's running a high fever since Tuesday night. We only had two culprits in mind - either tonsilitis or UTI. But of course there's still the possibility of dengue, typhoid and other illnesses. Good thing that it's tonsilitis. The pedia prescribed an antibiotic to be taken for a week. I hope Kaila gets better because we'll be going to my parents house tomorrow to celebrate the 89th bday of my grandmother and my BIL's birthday as well.

Web hosting

I have previously blogged that I'm thinking of getting my own domain as what most of my fellow mommy bloggers are doing. I have been so busy the past few weeks and I haven't really given it a serious thought of what can be a good domain name aside from nolespedido.com.

Just recently, another topic came up in one of my e-groups. It's a follow-up on the domain registration. Once you get your own domain you have to get a web host as well. So, what is web hosting? Basically, web hosting service is a type of internet hosting service that allows individuals or organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Technically, getting one's own domain would be useless without the web host. So, the search for the best web hosting service is now on! I am on the lookout for a cheap but reliable web host. Reliable means at least 99% up time. No down times please . . . If you have your web host already please share your personal experiences and recommendations when choosing a web host.

My little girl . . . soon to be a flower girl

I'm back after the long holidays. It was just a quiet vacation for us. We just stayed at home though we went to Cavite on Good Friday and went out to the mall on Saturday.

Yesterday was a lazy day in the office. It's so difficult to get back into the mood after a long vacation. I almost forgot to blog that Kaila will soon be a flower girl to a friend's wedding. I've been helping her out with her wedding suppliers and it was only about two weeks ago when she informed me that Kaila will be one of her flower girls. Of course the stage mom that I am, I really got so excited since it will be her first time. As a matter of fact, we already bought her shoes and stockings last Saturday when we went to Festival mall in Alabang. It was only last night that we went to the dressmaker for her measurements. I can't wait to see her in her gown! I'm also thinking what I would do to her very long hair? Hubby was telling me the other night to use the hair jewelries I used during our wedding but that might be inappropriate for her age to use it. Baka matalbugan pa nya ang bride. he he he . . .

It was a busy working week for us. I'm really looking forward to the long weekend. Have a happy, safe and reflective long weekend! I'll get back to your tags next week. Hope to have more opps next week as well.

Thoughts on Travelling . . .

Our recent travel in Hong Kong would be one of my fondest memories so far with my family. It was a blessing in disguise that my yaya could not come along with us. Our five days vacation was really a family bonding time. Me, hubby, Kaila and JM. Technically, we have one child each though there were instances that each of us would take care of the two kids at the same time. It was really a challenge for us but I can say that all the difficulties we had are all worth it. I have seen the "real" dad in Philip. He was so caring for the two kids. He was JM's buddy come bath time. I don't understand why JM doesn't want to take a bath in HK. Is it because of the unfamiliarity of the place or the cool weather? I really don't know. That's why hubby has to bathe him and I'll be the one to dress him up after the bath. Then Kaila and I would take a bath together as well and daddy will be the one to dress her up. This was our daily routine during the entire trip. Btw, Philip and JM had their time in the bath tub during our stay in Disney Hollywood Hotel. I took them pictures but I didn't post it in webshots. Hubby will kill me if I did. Imagine a daddy giving birth aka water birthing. Parang ganun itsura nila. He he he . . .

Travelling is really educational and fun at the same time. During our flight in going to HK, the kids were afraid to sit on their own. But they have to especially during take off. Since the plane has only 3 seats per row, I was seated on the right row away from them. I was holding JM all through out the take off stage. But on our flight back to Manila, both kids were seated on their respective seats. Kaila was seated on the window seat so she could clearly see the view from the outside. I told her she has to sit because she's a big girl already. I immediately buckled up her seat belt and she went through the pages of the magazine. JM on the other hand was on my left side and is seated as well. During the take off Kaila was even saying out loud, "lipad na kami!". The other passengers can't help but smile when they heard her. Kaila has fallen asleep just after the take off. She was asleep during the entire trip. JM on the other hand pooped just before we landed in Manila so I still have to change his diapers in the airport. It took quite a while again because he doesn't even want to go down on the comfort room.

Another milestone for Kaila is that she was able to conquer her fear in riding the elevator. We don't know how it happened. Normally she would already ask me to carry her if she knows we'll be taking the elevator even if she's seated in the stroller. We just noticed one day that she'd go straight in the hotel elevator and she would even push the buttons. I just hope that it's still the same even here. We haven't gone out yet so I still have to find it out.

Hubby and I both have fear for heights. So prior to the trip, I was already telling him about the cable car in Ocean Park. "Sisiw lang daw yun". Come Ocean Park day, the first thing you'll have to do pala is to ride an escalator which is about 100 or 200 meters long each four times! Dun pa lang is parang nalulula na ko every time I would try to look the view at the back. Then, there was a ride wherein it was just rotating slowly so that you'll have a view of the entire area. I asked hubby if he wants to try and he willingly agreed. So the four of us aboard the ride and we got to enjoy the view. This sort of prepared us for the cable car ride already. He he he . . . Then, the awaited moment – the cable car ride! We just went straight to the area and headed for the ride. It was just the four of us. We know that it's safe but it's still nerve wracking to see the views below. I was not even able to take pictures during the ride! Ha ha ha . . . You can't help but think what if something happens? Hubby and I were holding the handle tightly all throughout as the kids were just so so enjoying the site. How we wish the ride would be over soon. It was a relief when we reached the other end. As a parent, you really have to conquer your own fear for the sake of your children. You can't let them see that you're afraid of something when you're teaching them to be brave and be not afraid of anything. So, live what you teach.

During those five days, there were instances when the children would have tantrums and your patience is tested. For us, at least one should give way. If daddy is already pissed off, mommy should be patient enough to handle the situation. It's only the four of us so you can't expect somebody else to take care of the children. I guess it's ok to be away from yayas or grandparents sometimes so that you'll appreciate more the time you have with each other. I'm sure if yaya was with us things would be different. The children would turn their attention to yaya when either mommy or daddy is mad already.

Travelling alone can really bring out the best or worst in you. In our case, we've seen the best in each one of us and we appreciate more the other person. We are really looking forward to our next trip to have our bonding moments again. So for those parents who have worries on bringing along their children on their trips I would strongly advise that you give it a try. It's a wonderful experience to travel along with the kids. Kids will be kids and they'll have their tantrums and pasaway moments but they won't be kids forever. I'm sure it'll be moments to cherish forever.

Medical Results

We've just had our annual physical exam last week. During the exam, I found out that I'm not a 20/20 anymore. Blame it on E,P and F. he he he . . . I'm a 25/20 already. I hope it won't get worse. I really admire my grandmother who can still read the newspaper without eyeglasses at the age of 89. Then last Wednesday I got an email from our company nurse that I need to go to the clinic for medical consultation with our doctor. Hmmm? What could it be? Though I'm working on an urgent project, I took the time to visit the clinic because I can't stop thinking of what could be my condition that needs medical consultation. Well, my guess is right. It's UTI again. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic to be taken for a week then I need to have my urinalysis again after a week. It's Friday already and I haven't bought the medicine since I'm always out for overtime.

I'm not sure if there's an available online pharmacy here like MagicXPharmacy. It's an online pharmacy where you could buy medicines 24/7 without taking long queues and prescription. Ordering is very easy. One has to pick up the drug needed, answer a questionnaire and send the order. It will be reviewed by their licensed physicians and they'll issue the prescription needed. Then their licensed pharmacists will dispense the medicine and have it delivered through Fedex the following day. Payments are made through credit cards. No hassle!

Their medicines ranges from anti-depressants, anti-parasitic, antibiotics, birth control, pain relievers and a lot more. So the next time you have joint pains or migraine attack you can buy tramadol online or fioricet for that matter.

On line Shop

One of my high school friends texted me the other day to visit her multiply site. Her multiply site is a sort of an online shop with all the stuffs she's selling. Her products ranges from ready to wear clothes, designer shirts, bags, home made soaps and perfumes and even accessories. Her products are very promising but I think she should invest more so that her site would be more appealing to would be online shoppers.

Nowadays, all merchants online should be equipped with an ecommerce software. One of the leading provider of hosted shopping cart software is AShop Commerce. It provides features and functionalities that are truly world class. Setting-up is very easy, you can customize your shopping cart theme, easy payment option set-up, full web optimization structure and a lot more. You can even have your 10 days trial period for free! So try it and build your own online business. Be a successful merchant on-line with the help of Ashop Commerce.

Good Job ! ! !

After all the difficulties and overtimes needed, finally, I'm done with the report needed by the region ! ! ! At least I got a "good job" comment from the bosses in the region including the Finance CEO for Asia Pacific. Well, now I'm back into blogging! I have so many backlogs especially on the tags. I'm not even done with my HK stories. It's almost a month that has passed already. Plenty of tasks has expired. Sayang ang kita! ! ! :)

Anyway, I hope no new projects first so that I can update all my blogging backlogs.

Domain Registration

In this day and age, most of us have our own photo or blog sites. We do it either just for the simple reason of having fun. We do it to get in touch with old friends or meet new friends. We do it to keep a journal of significant events in our lives. Others do it for their businesses or sidelines. Others are into it to earn extra income as well.

With the increasing opportunities for blogging, many are getting their own domains. Domain registration is just a simple step that could take you further into the world of blogging. Many sites are now offering domain registration. One of them is Pay Less Domains. It is very popular for its good service at a very competitive price. They offer services like domain transfers, domain renewals and web hosting. They even have discounts if you register a domain for two years or more. Bulk domain name registration is also available. With this, I'm already thinking of having my own domain. What could be a nice and unique name for me?

Investments . . .

Investing has been one of the topics in one of my e-groups. Mutual funds and other stuffs were discussed and other forms of investment. Personally, I find these stuffs risky to think that the money we're investing are hard earned money. For me, real estate would still be the safest form of investment. One way to find good deals of these properties are those that are foreclosed by the banks. Most of these are listed and offered to the public. One of the largest database of foreclosed properties is the National Relocation. Over one million properties are listed in the site. The site can be searched for free and we can get the details of these properties like street name, number of bedrooms, bathrooms, auction date, list date and even pictures. One can even sign up so that an e-mail alert can be send whenever there are new properties listed in the site. What are we waiting for? Let's do our property hunting with just a few clicks in our very own PC's.

Work Overload ! ! !

It's almost a week since my last post. I'm so busy with work. We're done with the month-end close and now it's our forecast submission. There are other special studies as well needed by the region. I have so many things to catch up with my blogging. A lot of tasks has also expired! ! ! Hay, I'm so sleepy cause I rendered OT last night. I want another vacation! ! !

Payday Loan

It’s two more days before payday and I’m kinda short of cash. We’ve had some incidental expenses during our trip to Hong Kong that’s why my cash flow has been disrupted. I have several billings that will be due by tomorrow and Friday and I’m short of cash already. I never thought vacationing was this good that I almost forgot the due dates of my statement of accounts.

Have you been into the same situation already? I chanced upon this site which offers payday loan. Easy Online Payday loan offers quick and easy payday loan. It’s very simple! You just have to fill up an online application and the rest will be taken care of Easy Online Payday loan. They’ll be working with their lenders and they’ll find the best payday loan that will suit one’s needs and capacity to pay. I really find this very easy and customer friendly since we don’t have to go to any institution at a given time just to secure a loan. There are also no credit investigators that will call your officemates or neighbors just to verify some vital information just for your loan. They are working with utmost confidentiality. You just have to ensure that you meet their basic requirements and I’m sure you’ll have your payday loan just when you need it most right at the comfort of your homes or offices since everything is done online.

Cebu Pacific is on SALE again! ! !

Cebu Pacific is on sale once again. They are offering their Asian destinations at P888. This is so tempting! ! ! But we still need to recover our expenses with our recent HK trip. Maybe on the next promo we could book our trip once again. he he he . . .

As a result, you may lose out in some relationships. But otherwise, you love to help people out from difficult and tight spots when they really need you.

That way, you people are unique. You would like to keep yourself safe from all the angles. Shall your name be dragged or featured in any sort of a controversy, you then go all panicky. Gaming On-line

Ever tried gaming on-line? I have seen a lot of sites of online casinos but never had the guts to try it. It's very tempting especially for those who have not yet tried the real thing. I was looking forward of having a side trip in Macau but our schedule did not allow us to do this side trip. Maybe, I should content myself for online casinos as of now. But where and how do I start? I chanced upon this site which provides a full review of the best online casinos. Pro360.com provides a detailed review of factors such as game experience, trust score and bonuses offered by each online casinos. I believe these factors are very important especially for players like me who have no experience in playing the casino or any game cards for that matter. I'm sure with these reviews my first online casino experience will be less of a trouble and full of excitement.
