Our PC & Internet is back . . .

Finally ! ! ! After almost two months of being PC and internet free home I am now posting my very first entry as we had our internet back just tonight. I was also not in the mood to blog the past few days so hopefully with our internet back I'll be posting more often now. Time to go to FB for now. :)

I2C update # 5 . . .

Our CIO notice of assessment has arrived! CIO is the Centralized Intake Office in Canada where we submitted our immigration application under the FSW category. Under the new process they said that processing would take about 9 to 12 months. Usually, the assessment is within a 2-month period that's why it came unexpectedly. It was sooner than expected!

Last night, when we arrived home hubby handed me a brown envelope. I thought that it was just a statement of account or just an ordinary letter. My heartbeat went faster when I saw that the envelope is from Canada. Is this the "one"? Is this for real? A part of me wants to open the letter at once but I'm afraid if it'll be positive or negative. I opened the envelope and looked for the magic words : "Your application is being recommended for further assessment by a visa office. You are therefore requested to submit a full application to the visa office. You have 120 days from the date of this letter to prepare and submit these forms and supporting documentation. "

Guess what? The letter is dated April 21, 2009 which falls exactly on my birthday. It was a late birthday gift for me. I was so overwhelmed and until now I can't believe that it was that fast. If I have done it last year we could have gotten our visa already by this time.

Hay, this is it! Time to move on and go forward. :)

The move . . .

As I have previously posted, I'll be moving to a different position within Finance by April 2009. There was a delay on this move and officially, today is my first day in my new position. I am the Profit Analyst for Ford Motor Company and two other entities within Ford. Since it's the month-end close I'm doing the close simulatenously in my new position and my former position. Hopefully, everything will be retained in my memory so that by next month I can do everything on my own. So far so good. Wish me luck on this new endeavor!

Birthday greetings . . .

Wishing my Dad a very, very happy 65th birthday ! ! !
We wish you good health, long life and happiness . . .
The kids are looking forward of seeing you again . . .
Kaila was asking me if we can go there to greet you happy birthday . . .
I asked Kaila to ask the lolo for a place ticket . . . he he he . . .

Kidding aside, we all miss you ! ! !
Take care there and hope to see you soon!
